Question
I see that I can use SSH to connect to the IPMI interface on my Supermicro boxes. Please point me to the Supermicro documentation which shows me how to use the SSH interface on my BMC.

You are looking for the SMASH & CLP Support that allow you to utilize the SSH based SOL feature. Below is the command to use.

For ATEN firmware:
1. SSH login through BMC IP
2. Type below commands to launch SOL:
> cd system1/sol1
> start

For AMI firmware:
1. SSH login into BMC and issue “/usr/bin/smashclp”
2. After SMASH loaded, issue “cd /admin1/system1/sp1/testredirect1/” and “start”

You may need to upgrade the IPMI firmware first before using this feature in some older firmware.
