Question
On X9SRI-F, why does BIOS wait until the CPU is at thermal alarm temperature before
it forces the fans to spin at full speed? Can the temperature at which the fans are
full speed be lowered at least 5C below the alarms temperature?
I would think you would never want the alarm unless the fans cannot properly cool the CPU.

Answer
Fan throttling is an event based trigger. Thermal alarm temperature is the trigger point.
Otherwise, you may have to manually set it.
