x9drd-lf ; I am attempting to install a UEFI OS (Debian 12), and having issues.
A few threads on Reddit indicate that I need to update to the latest BIOS to fix the stability problems I'm experiencing.
However, given the age of this motherboard, the utility is a DOS program, and I simply cannot get a DOS to boot on this thing.
I've tried FreeDOS versions 12 and 13 to no avail (just sitting at a completely black screen), although the images WOULD boot on other
consumer motherboards. The one dos 6.22 image I found that I could feel even remotely safe trying also failed with the same problems
(and also failed to boot on systems where FreeDOS worked). Do you have a DOS image that might work with this motherboard? Or even better,
does Supermicro have a way of updating the BIOS via Linux or FreeBSD? Please note this X9DRD0IF had been end of life for many years.
Please following link below to download latest BIOS version 3.3, then follow Readme file in zip file for BIOS update.
Note: "Before upgrading BIOS to version 2.0, you must update the IPMI firmware to version 2.0 or later first."

We suggest you to download RUFUs and to create new bootable USB drive.
