We want to use the following chassis: SBE-714D-R42 – DataCentreBlade. We will be installing 8 modules in it to start and my customer wants each of the 8 modules to be able to connect to a switch via a 10 gigabit connection. Which products would I require to do this?
To get 10-Gbps Ethernet all the way to each of the Blades requires use of the SBM-XEM-002 which is a 10-Gbps Ethernet Pass-Through module. Each Blade also needs an AOC-IBH-003 mezzanine card which will be configured as an Ethernet NIC. ( Note: If using a Tylersburg Blade, the AOC should be AOC-IBH-XDD).
However, the SBM-XEM-002 is not supported with the SBE-714D enclosure. You need an SBE-714E enclosure (or SBE-710E if using 10 or less Blades).
