Question
Two SBM-GEM-001 switches in the top slot & the bottom slot of the Blade enclosure are trunked to VLAN1 & VLAN2, respectively. There is no routing between these two VLANs inside our network. The CMM’s Ethernet port is connected to one of the ports on the bottom switch. I configured the VLAN1 IP to the top switch in CMM. When I tried to ping it, there was no response. Why?

The switch’s management port is connected to the network through CMM module, internally. For your CMM is connected to VLAN2, both switches’ management ports have to be configured using IP addresses of VLAN2.
