On A+ motherboards using the nVidia MCP55 Pro chipset, AC power loss recovery only works when there is complete power loss to the system before power is restored. Is this normal?
Yes. According to the nVidia MCP55 Pro design specifications, a complete power loss is first required in order to have automatic power up recovery when AC is restored. Therefore, it is recommended to disconnected AC power from the motherboard at least 10 seconds before being restored in order to have the AC power loss recovery work properly.
