Supermicro’s future X13 systems with 4th Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors (formerly codenamed Sapphire Rapids) will enable new performance levels utilizing the state-of-the-art technology including DDR5, PCI-E 5.0, Compute Express Link™ 1.1, and Intel® Advanced Matrix Extensions (Intel AMX).
Our JumpStart program offers early NDA remote access to one of our top-end future X13 systems for qualified customers to validate, test, and benchmark their own workloads with a few simple steps.
- How do I access the JumpStart server?
Go to https://jumpstart.supermicro.com and use credentials provided to you.
Also, please refer to the provided instruction document that comes with your credentials.
- How many sessions can I have open at once?
Currently, we are limiting the sessions to one VNC and one SSH session per server for this NDA program.
- Can I change my password?
For security reasons, the password is pre-configured on the JumpStart/Guacamole server that acts as a proxy to the X13 server that is behind a firewall. You are allowed to change the JumpStart/Guacamole server credentials we provide, but if you change credentials on the X13 server itself, the proxy/JumpStart server will fail to connect.
Passwords are randomly generated for each user and are only stored on the machines. During your initial access, the JumpStart server requires you to set up 2-Factor Authentication (2FA). Please follow the instructions in the Getting Started Guide provided to you.
- What happens to the server after I am done with my demo?
The server is manually secure erased; the BIOS and firmware are reflashed; and the OS is re-installed with new credentials.
- Is the X13 server on a public IP address?
No. The server can reach out to the Internet to get files, but it is not directly addressable to the Internet. We are using the jump server as a proxy so you can get access to the server you are authorized on.
- Should I do sensitive data processing on the demo server?
Please use only anonymized data since this server may have different security policies than are required within your organization.
- If we leave data on the server, will it be backed up?
No. We are completely erasing and resetting servers for each demo and are not making backups. Please do not store important/sensitive data on the demo platforms because they will be erased.
If the standard JumpStart configuration does not meet your testing needs, please contact your Supermicro representative or the send us an email at FastTrack2SMC@supermicro.com to discuss your requirements and consider other options for providing you the required solution.
