Question
The IPMI/BMC audible alarm is sounding sporadically on the motherboard. I believe the alarm is occurring because of the chassis intrusion detection since I have the chassis open currently. I would like to know if I can somehow tell the BMC to not sound an audible alarm when the chassis cover is off because I frequently need to have it off.

If you are not using chassis intrusion, you can disconnect the JL1 header (for chassis intrusion). Then in IPMI if the chassis intrusion is triggered, just clear it and it will not come back up.
