Question
I'm trying to figure out the video priority upon bootup for system SYS-4029GP-TRT2. I have a Nvidia P400 card in slot 7 (x8) with a monitor attached and 3 RTX A6000 in slot 2,5 and 11 with no monitor attached. I configured the BIOS to use offboard video. Upon bootup, I have no video on my display until I reach Windows, where it finally shows up. If I hit DEL upon bootup, the system does enter BIOS setup but still no video. I need to plug a monitor on my video card in slot 2 to see the BIOS setup screen. The A6000 video cards are there only for GPU processing, I'd like to use the dedicated P400 for actual display. Any solution to force the BIOS to use the P400 instead of a board that don't even have a monitor attached to it?

Answer

To fix this issue please disable Above 4G Decoding in the Bios this should be under:
Bios -> Advance -> PCIe/PCI/PnP Configuration -> Above 4G Decoding; And use this P400 GPU in slot#6, this slot has its own PLX doesn’t share with other slots, so it can be used for primary Video display unlike slot#7.
