I just purchased an SC742S-600 chassis and X5DP8-G2 motherboard. I would like to know how to configure the array. I need to know which port on SCA742-E2 backplane do I have to attach a cable from X5DP8-G2 motherboard?

The SCA backplane on SC742S-600 chassis supports dual channel. The first three drives from the bottom (if you have chassis stand-up) are supported on channel A. Above those drives are supported on channel B. You can configure SCSI channels (A & B) on X5DP8-G2 as two different arrays
