Charles Liang gründete Supermicro im Jahr 1993 und ist seither Präsident, Chief Executive Officer und Vorstandsvorsitzender. Unter der Führung von Herrn Liang hat sich Supermicro von einem Motherboard- und Subsystem-Unternehmen zu einem Multi-Milliarden-Dollar-Geschäft entwickelt, das komplette Lösungen auf Rack- und Rechenzentrumsebene optimiert, die Kunden innerhalb weniger Stunden implementieren und in Betrieb nehmen können. David Weigand wurde im Februar 2021 zum Senior Vice President und Chief Financial Officer ernannt. Bevor er diese Rolle übernahm, war er seit Mai 2018 Senior Vice President und Chief Compliance Officer. Vor seiner Anstellung bei unserem Unternehmen war Herr Weigand von November 2016 bis April 2018 Vice President bei Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) und von September 2013 bis zur Übernahme durch HPE im November 2016 Vice President, Tax bei Silicon Graphics International, Inc. tätig. Herr Liaw war Mitbegründer des Unternehmens im Jahr 1993. Im Mai 2021 kehrte Herr Liaw als Berater zu dem Unternehmen zurück und beriet es in Fragen der Geschäftsentwicklung. Im August 2022 kehrte Herr Liaw als Senior Vice President, Business Development, in Vollzeit zum Unternehmen zurück. Herr Liaw hat einen M.S. in Computer Engineering von der University of Arizona, einen M.S. in Electrical Engineering vom Tatung Institute of Technology in Taiwan und einen B.S. vom Taiwan Provincial College of Marine and Oceanic Technology.
Alex Hsu ist Senior Chief Executive - Strategic Business bei Supermicro. Herr Hsu ist seit Oktober 2003 in verschiedenen leitenden Positionen für das Unternehmen tätig. Herr Hsu war seit Februar 2018 Vorsitzender von Supermicro Taiwan, seit August 2009 Senior Chief Executive of Strategic Business und seit August 2009 Executive Director von Supermicro Technology (Beijing) Co. Ltd. Herr Hsu war außerdem von 2019 bis 2021 Chief Operating Officer des Unternehmens, von Juli 2006 bis August 2009 Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, von Oktober 2004 bis Juli 2006 Senior Vice President of Sales und von Oktober 2003 bis Oktober 2004 President of European Offices und Vice President of Operations (USA).
Vor Supermicro war Herr Hsu Präsident und Chief Operating Officer der Bizlink Group, einem Unternehmen für IT-Lösungen. Vor der Bizlink Group war er als privater Investor und Berater für Startups im Silicon Valley tätig, und davor war Herr Hsu Präsident und Chief Operating Officer bei Oplink Communications, Inc. einem Unternehmen für Netzwerklösungen. Herr Hsu hat über 40 Jahre Erfahrung in der IT-Branche und war in verschiedenen Management- und Führungspositionen bei Philips, Acer, Hewlett-Packard und der Umax-Gruppe tätig. Herr Hsu hat einen M.B.A. und einen B.S. in Elektrotechnik von der National Chao-Tung University in Taiwan.
Don Clegg ist der Senior Vice President für den weltweiten Vertrieb. Don Clegg kam im April 2006 zu Supermicro und bekleidete über einen Zeitraum von 12 Jahren eine Reihe von zunehmend leitenden Vertriebs- und Marketingpositionen. Zuvor war er als Vice President of Marketing and Worldwide Business Development für Supermicro tätig. Don verfügt über mehr als 35 Jahre direkte Erfahrung in den Bereichen Vertrieb, Marketing, Produktentwicklung und Design. Don begann seine Karriere als Entwicklungsingenieur und entwickelte sich vom Ingenieur zum Vizepräsidenten für Vertrieb und Marketing bei mehreren etablierten und neu gegründeten System- und Halbleiterunternehmen im Silicon Valley, darunter Chips and Technologies, OPTi, Tyan Computer Corporation und andere. Don schloss sein Studium an der Brigham Young University mit einem Bachelor of Science in Elektrotechnik ab.
Herr George Kao wurde im Februar 2018 zum Senior Vice President of Operations befördert. George kam im Oktober 2016 als Vice President of Operations zu Supermicro. Zuvor war George Kao seit Oktober 2006 Vice President of Operations bei Pericom Semiconductor Corp. (später 2015 an Diodes verkauft). Herr Kao war zuvor auch als COO von Orient Semiconductor Electronics Philippines tätig. George Kao kam von dem in Santa Clara ansässigen Unternehmen Foveon zu diesem Unternehmen und verfügt über mehr als 30 Jahre Erfahrung in der globalen Technologiebranche. George Kao begann seine Karriere 1984 bei National Semiconductor in der BipolarLlogic-Gruppe, bevor er leitende Positionen bei Integrated Circuit Systems, Synaptics und Altima, das später an Broadcom verkauft wurde, einnahm. Herr Kao hat einen Bachelor-Abschluss in Elektrotechnik von der California State Polytechnic University.
