How do I update the IPMI card on my Itanium 6113L-8?

Answer
Please download following files bnew64.efi, i2dml.bin, ipnmac.efi from our FTP site, at below link and copy them to a USB PenFTP files


  1. boot up the system
  2. Once the system goes into the "EFI Boot Manager," choose "EFI Shell [Built-in]"
  3. Under the "EFI Shell," locate the USB device (for example fs0 or fs1...)
  4. At the Shell command prompt, type: Shell> fsX: X: the number of which your USB pen is located at. This command will change the directory from [Shell] to [fsX]
  5. At the new command prompt, type: fsX:\> bnew64.efi This will update the IPMI card with the correct firmware.
