Question
I have a X9SCL supermicro motherboard and when I boot up the system, it gives 4 beeps but no video. What does this mean? I do not see this in the manual.

The 4 beeps and no video means the BIOS is not updated to support the CPU. You will need to find a Sandy Bridge CPU to use to flash the BIOS on the motherboard first, before you can use the new Ivy Bridge CPU on it.
