Question
I have Supermicro motherboard X9DRL-if with two Intel Xeon E5-2650 CPUs and 4 memory DIMMs (HMT31GR7CFR4C-PB) installed. When I power on, the system started and stoped at SYSTEM INITIALIZING with error code 2F. What does the error code 2F mean? Why it is generated?

Answer
Error code 2F means memory initialization. It is generated thru the BIOS. You may have memory issue. Please check your memory DIMMs and motherboard’s DIMM sockets.
