We have a SYS-6018R-MT and can't reset the CMOS password and never set the password, after flashing the BIOS the password was already set. Whenever booting up the system, the password menu will come up. Need
your help to clear the password.

Updating the motherboard to the latest BIOS firmware has nothing to do with the CMOS password and BIOS firmware does not have any capabilities to set the password by itself, the password has to be set manually by the user. The CMOS password might have already set by someone prior the BIOS updated that the customer was not aware of.

To clear the CMOS password:

1. Disconnect the AC power cord.

2. Remove internal CMOS battery.

3. Find JBT1 solder pad and short contact about 5 to 10 second.

4. Re-insert the CMOS battery.

5. Re-connect AC power cord.

6. Wait until you see BMC blinking LED.

7. Power On system board.
