Question
Customer reported an issue with SYS-1028GR-TR1-BD04B (M/B X10DRG-H).  The issue is that after updated to the latest BIOS using IPMI, the serial number was changed to 123456789.  But no issue when using DOS or UEFI to flash the BIOS.

After debugging, the root cause is that customer unticked all 3 fields inside IPMI when flashing.  The 3 fields are "Preserver ME Region" "Preserve NVRAM" "Preserve SMBIOS".  Customer should only untick the first 2 fields and tick the 3rd one to preserve SMBIOS.  The issue resolved after unticked and preserved SMBIOS.
