Question
I have your P8SCI motherboard currently running Windows 2003 with Service Pack 1 and have a problem creating ASR (Automatic System Recovery). In some newsgroups referencing that other people also having Supermicro motherboards with ICH6R controller encounter similar problems. My P8SCI motherboard is embedded with the Intel ICH6R chipset. Is there a driver problem?

Answer
There is no issue with driver or chipset, the old version of Intel storage management application utility can not create the ASR (automatic system recovery) with new Intel chipsets. You need to install the new Intel Matrix Storage Management application utility for new Intel chipset. Please follow this link FTP Supermicro CDR-INTC rev. 1.30 to download the most current matrix storage management application.
