I have an LSI-USAS-L4iR controller installed on your X7DWU main board. I have connected 3 hard drives to it. In the LSI post screen I get a warning saying “foreign metadata detected” can you tell me why I am getting this warning?

This warning comes when there is previous RAID data on the hard drive. A foreign configuration is a storage configuration that already exists on a replacement set of drives that you install in a computer system. You can clear this warning by either formatting the hard drives or by using LSI controller BIOS to clear the configuration and reconfigure the drives.
