Super Micro BIOS and IPMI show the CPU temperature reading as low, medium and high. What does the low, medium and high ranges represent? |

Low, medium and high temperature ranges are as below:
Low: T < CPU overheat temperature -10 Medium: CPU overheat temperature -10 < T < CPU overheat temperature High: T > CPU overheat temperature
T: Temperature of CPU in degrees centigrade
CPU Overheat temperature varies from 60’C ~ 90’C depending on the model. E.g. CPU overheat temperature is 67’C for Xeon E5450. http://processorfinder.intel.com/details.aspx?sSpec=SLANQ |
