We have several AS-1021TM-T twin systems in operation. The two Ethernet interfaces from the MCPpro55 run in to problems with RH Linux RH EL5, we see an extremely poor time response, low data throughput and system even seems to lockup. What could the issue be?

Please install the driver called RHEL5u2-2.6.18-92.el5-FRE.zip, we suggest to disable the msi-x interrupts when using dual core Opteron CPU's. This can be done via, options forcedeth msix=0 When the msi-x interrupts are enabled, the card fires too many interrupts and slows down LAN performance.
