I tried to updated my SXM H100 GPU FW, but keep getting a general error asking me to "Please update to v1.1.2 first".

Answer
This error occurs when you are running a GPU FW version older than 1.1.2 (VBIOS 96.00.74.00.01), and are trying to update to a newer revision. Please first update to revision 1.1.2 and the corresponding Retimer FW (2.7.9) first then to the newer/latest FW. 

You may contact Supermicro Technical Support to provide you with this intermediate FW revision.
