Our end customer has X10DRI-T-O and a need to have their drives not locked by the security freeze feature of the BIOS at power up. The two workarounds found online include hot-swapping the drive or putting the system in sleep/hibernation but these will not work for them. There does not appear to be a BIOS menu selection that will change this setting. Is there any way to turn it off?
BIOS can only enable/disable SATA freeze to lock the drive. Once the BIOS issued SECURITY_FREEZE_LOCK to the drive, it will lock the security features of the drive, making it impossible to change the drive's security status.
