I also noted that the model number in the BMC .bin file is not X12DGO-6 but X12AST2600. Is that correct?

Yes that is correct. Usually our BIOS and BMC bin files will have either BIOS or BMC in the front. The BIOS will be followed by the model number and BMC will be followed by the MBD generation and AST model number.
