Qualified channel partners can now sink their teeth into Supermicro Computer’s STEP program to remotely test the ODM’s two high-end Supermicro systems — the 2U HGX A100 4-GPU system, or the 4U HGX A100 8-GPU system with NVIDIA’s 3rd Generation NVLink technology.

Supermicro has released details on a new GPU test-drive program. Called STEP (Supermicro Test drive Engagement with Partners), the program allows customers to remote test drive either Supermicro’s 2U HGX A100 4-GPU or 4U HGX A100 8-GPU system with NVIDIA 3rd Generation NVLink technology.

Customers can test drive Supermicro’s 2U HGX A100 4-GPU or 4U HGX A100 8-GPU system with Nvidia third generation NVLink technology as part of a GPU programme initiated by Supermicro.

The program involves seven Supermicro partners, two in Europe and five in North America, but Supermicro sees this kind of AI-focused work is something that will become widely used, so represents a key partner opportunity.
