Question
We have X10DRC-LN4+ with onboard SAS Controller LSI 3108 problems. We flashed the incorrect firmware.

Now we see the lsi information on post but we get this message.And if we proceed no disk or enclosures are detected.

Firmware did not find valid NVDATA image. Please program valid NVDATA image and restart your system.

All of the disks from your previous configuration are gone. If this is an unexpected message, then please power off your system and check your cables to ensure all disks are present.

Answer
The firmware regions are all messed up now. Please boot into DOS to flash the firmware the production package. Use the batch script "flash.bat" to do the following updates. You need to write down the *SAS address* before you start flashing the firmware. You can find it from a label on the RAID controller, if you don't have it yet. Since “flash.bat” does not work for you, can you try the individual commands below from top to bottom.

>> megarec -writespd 0 3108spd.bin

>> megarec -writesbr 0 3108sbr.bin

>> megarec -cleanflash 0

>> megarec -m0flash 0 AF31086M.rom

>> megaoem -AdpSetSasa %1 -a0

>> megacli -adpfacdefset -a0

If it doesn't help, you may need to submit a RMA to have it repaired/replaced.
