Habana Labs, an Intel-owned AI company, has partnered with server maker Supermicro to provide high-performance, high-efficiency AI computing in the form of new training and inference servers that will power the upcoming NSF-funded Voyager supercomputer at the San Diego Supercomputer Center(SDSC).
Intel made its official launch of its 3rd generation Xeon Scalable processor based upon its 10nm process for enterprise and data center applications. The product line can provide up to 40 cores per processer and up to 2.65 times higher performance gain over a 5-year-old system.
